Where to stay in Lagos, Portugal? There are many hotels, hostels, guest houses and surf camps.
A few things to consider:
- The old town can be quite noisy in the summer. There are many bars along Rua Candido dos Reis, Rua Lançarote de Frietas, Rua Primeiro de Maio and around the central plazas, so it can be quite noisy.
- If you stay closer to the town walls it will be quieter
- The old town is almost all pedestrian only streets, so its best for travellers without a car
- Our tip would be to stay close to the small town beaches of Dona Ana, Pinhão, Batata
- Porto de Mos is a nice beach, but its a bit of a walk from the town centre.
- Staying close to the Lagos Marina is also a good option, as its close to Meia Praia – the large town beach, and you can pass over the footbridge to the old town.
