If you feel like an unforgettable scenic walk, take the cliff walk to the lighthouse, Farol Ponta da Piedade. For the best view, do it around sunset. The cliffs are a rich gold in the lowering sun, and the shimmering ocean amongst the grottos is truly picturesque, and you can end the walk at this beautiful Lighthouse. Unfortunately you can’t enter, but with the ocean backdrop and neighbouring palm trees, its an impressive sight.

Behind the lighthouse, is the famous Ponta da Piedade. There are small stair ways and paths down to the natural beauty, so you can discover it by foot. Alternatively, take a kayak or boat trip to reach it and explore the grottos and caves on the way.
